MoveOn Raises $300K For Elizabeth Warren In Less Than A Day

The national progressive cash just keeps showering down on Elizabeth Warren’s Senate campaign.

TPM has learned that MoveOn raised more than $300,000 for Warren with an email fundraising campaign launched Thursday morning. The group will announce the figure later today.

In the fundraising email, the leaders of MoveOn’s Political Action team point to the viral video of Warren passionately espousing raising taxes on the wealthy that has drawn massive play on both sides of the aisle.

“Warren came to prominence as a vocal critic of many of the Wall Street corporations who are now top contributors to [Sen.] Scott Brown’s [R-MA] campaign,” the email reads. “Brown is trying to present a moderate front despite his tea party backing and corporate donors, but Warren is the real voice for the American Dream.”

Other progressive groups have turned to their national members to bank big bucks for Warren. The PCCC has already sent Warren well over $200,000.

Brown knows how to rake in the money, too, and Warren’s got a Democratic primary to run before she even gets a chance to face him. But national progressives seem to have made their choice, and Warren’s benefiting.
