Ed Rollins: Bachmann’s Campaign Was ‘A Mess’

Ed Rollins, Michele Bachmann’s former top campaign aide, continued his escalating criticisms of his former client on FOX News Monday, calling the campaign a “mess.”

“It was a mess. It wasn’t going to work,” he told Shepard Smith. “I didn’t think it would work and I didn’t want to spend six months at my age in Iowa. She understood. She was fine. We have had a nice relationship”

Rollins has been very tough on Bachmann since leaving the job, and previously suggested that she doesn’t have the “ability or resources” to win in Iowa. Bachmann recently joked that she wished she had Googled Rollins before hiring him after being told he had a history of pointed remarks at his former clients.
