Mitt Romney Takes An Indirect Shot At Jeffress, Perry At VVS

Mitt Romney

Mitt Romney just took the stage at the Values Voter Summit, and took an indirect shot at the Texas pastor who introduced Rick Perry yesterday — and claimed Romney is not a Christian and a member of “a cult.”

Before Romney went on stage, Bill Bennett spoke at VVS and condemned Jeffress’ words as “bigotry.”

Romney seized the opportunity Bennett’s words gave him.

“Speaking of hitting it out of the park, how about that Bill Bennet?” Romney said as he took the stage.

The “out of the park” line was the same one Perry used when he thanked Jeffress for his introduction Friday.
