Stephen Colbert on Tuesday took on President Obama’s “shocking” mock debate partner: John Kerry. The shocking part? “Somebody chose John Kerry for something.”
Is Kerry up to the challenge of playing Mitt Romney? “In 2004, Kerry was a compromised candidate,” Colbert said. “In 2012, Romney is a consensus candidate. Kerry couldn’t connect with voters. Romney can’t relate to the electorate.”
“It’s like they’re from completely different pages of a thesaurus,” Colbert said.
