Paul Ryan for vice president was no safe choice for Mitt Romney. There was another word for it, Stephen Colbert said Monday: Bold.
“So daring! I mean, white, Christian and male? That’s a triple threat of not threatening to me.”
It’s the youngsters who are most excited for Ryan, Colbert added. “After all, he’s the chairman of the House Budget Committee. Or as the kids call it, the ‘budge.’ This dude wants to cut government entizzlements.”
