Colbert Mocks Right-Wing Freakout Over Polls Showing Obama Up

Stephen Colbert

Stephen Colbert on Thursday addressed a recent Republican gripe: the polls showing President Obama ahead are skewed because the polling sample includes too many Democrats. Many of Fox News’ pundits don’t believe the polls, even though the network’s own polling shows Obama ahead in key swing states.

Thankfully, Colbert said, a new polling site, “Unskewed Polls,” puts the race into perspective. It’s Romney who is ahead, not Obama, according to Dean Chambers, the conservative blogger who runs the site.

“Folks, Chambers’ work throws all polls into doubt now,” Colbert said. “Even the internal ones I’ve taken of myself.”
