Jon Stewart: Romney Video Like Cartoon Rich People Talking About Cartoon Poor People

Jon Stewart

Jon Stewart on Tuesday took a look at a secretly recorded video of Mitt Romney telling donors that he will never convince the 47 percent of Americans who pay no income taxes to support his campaign. These people, Romney said in the video, aren’t able to “take personal responsibility” for their lives.

“Yes, the Romney campaign’s reboot was spoiled by footage from last May of Gov. Romney at a $50,000-a-plate fundraiser, talking to rich people about poor people in a manner you would imagine cartoon rich people talk about cartoon poor people,” Stewart said.
