Jon Stewart Grateful Not To Live In ‘Swing State Hell’

Jon Stewart

Much of the East Coast is still reeling from Sandy, but Jon Stewart is proud to be in soggy New York City. “In some places in this country, it’s even worse,” he said. Welcome to “Swing State Hell.”

“For whatever reason, both campaigns have crunched the numbers, studied this election’s metrics and decided that the only electoral votes of consequence in 2012 are the 18 that reside in the great state of Ohio,” Stewart said.

The political ads are so ubiquitous, they start before dawn and run until bedtime. “You might say, ‘Well, hey, why don’t they just turn off the TV and leave the house and live their lives?’ Because it doesn’t matter, because you can’t hide, because the candidates are fucking everywhere,” Stewart said.
